It's Valentines not Easter!

Unexpected baby. That is what I now have. Only I didn't get nine months to prepare myself. I know it's a lamb, but it is definetly a baby. A newborn. Her mom,& twin died during the birthing process, you don't want details, gruesome. Mark bought milk replacer, and we are now bottle feeding her. Just like a newborn. She is a week old today, I think I have the baby blues.
Symptoms:
* Tired
* Anxiety
* Guilt
* Trapped
I am thinking these are a few things I feel. Tired of making bottles, washing bottles, waking up in the night to wake Mark up to go feed her, which leads me to anxiety. Anxiety because if she doesn't eat much at one feeding, then I'm sure she is getting sick. If you feed her too much, she gets the scours. She is now in a kennel in the garage, anxiety because it's cold! This leads to guilt, a kennel. What kind of life is that? Plus it's cold, we do have straw in it, and covered with a blanket, lambs are meant for outside, right? I put her in our fenced back yard yesterday to play, she got scared, and was hiding behind a bike, took me awhile to find her. Guilt because she has no one to play with. Trapped, I had to be home to feed her every three hours, but things are better, we can go about five hours! But no all day adventures for me, no trips, getaways, nada. We've had bummer lambs before, but usually four at a time, in the SPRING! I was informed our herd of sheep are "Show Stock", so they have to be born early to be big for show. It's a good thing she is so sweet, she doesn't know what she is, but she is sweet. Tomorrow, we'll pimp out the horse trailer for her!

I found the perfect quote--I'm going to print it and have it framed for you!
It says: "Friends are God's way of apologizing to us for our families" ---Anonymous

Don't you love it?! :)
