Yes, that clock does say 2...AM! About two weeks ago I took Kimber to the Dr. for a sinus infection. She has been on antibiotics. Her asthma kept getting worse though, and last Friday we took her back to the Dr. (We actually took her an hour earlier than her scheduled appt. because I thought she was going to pass out. ) We didn't realize how sick she was, and yes, I felt like a total white trash mom after we were told how sick she was. She was so dehydrated that it took them 8 times to get an IV in her. Her oxygen level was also scary. (I don't remember numbers guys, sorry.) We were at the Dr. office for 4 hours, for breathing treatments, oxygen, antibiotic shot, and IV fluids. She also took 5 prednisone pills, started a z-pack. After bringing her home, I stayed on the couch with her to make sure she could breathe, we were also sent home with a little moniter for her to breathe into, to check those numbers I don't remember. I just remember she should normally be around 300, when we came home it was 160, and if it got lower I was to take her to the hospital. Around 1 am it got down to 140!! She was literally slowly going blue. I had Mark stay and sleep, he was leaving for China on Saturday. I rushed her to the hospital for a breathing treatment. After the Dr. there saw her, he wanted her admitted for treatments, and oxygen. He took some X-rays, no pneumonia, just asthma. It was pretty scary. She started feeling really cagey, all those steroids in her, and we both wanted to go home to our soft beds. She watched some movies, we tried gagging down the food they brought us, and then waited until 2 pm the next day for the dr. to check us out! We had some great laughs, Kimber felt tied down with all the tubes, and she got so mad at me for making her laugh, because her heart rate would go up, and she was sure they would never let her go home! Which had us laughing more. She is doing great now!! We had quite the sleepover. I think we both still have a hangover!
