Kizzy

Kizzy is our twelve year old lab. Last week we thought she was dying. Mark had to go to Las Vegas for business, and I got to worry about what to do with Kizzy. This is morbid, but a fact of life and death, we already had it lined up who would do the deed if it got that bad. We kept Kizzy in the back room, she would only walk to go outside, short bathroom breaks. She collapsed one day, and even drooled. I was sure she was having strokes. I googled strokes in dogs. This brought me to very common virus that older dogs can get, vestibular neuritis. Vertigo, inner ear infection, etc. Kizzy had every symptom, I was even hand feeding her, good stuff like ham. So after about four days of "I'm sure I'm going to find Kizzy stiff this morning" she was healed. Back to herself. Running out to feed the horses with me. Glad we didn't jump the gun too soon! No pun intended! So Saturday I'm driving with Justine and Kimber, and everything started spinning, I thought I was going to hurl. I had inner ear stuff when I was pregnant with Justine, and currently am on an antibiotic for ear infection. Sunday I slept all day, all night, all day Monday, and still wiped out. Still dizzy, but not drooling yet~
